Meet the Artists

Jeannine T. Young

Jeannine T. Young of Hendersonville, NC and her husband, Dave, moved here 11 years ago from Newport, RI. Both are delighted to be out of the cold and damp north country. They love it here and say "the warm and friendly people are only rivaled by the beauty of these mountains".

Jeannine has always loved the feel and texture of wood and, when Dave found a piece of driftwood that reminded her of a swan, Jeannine started workinmg with it. Soon her "Wimzies" were born. You can see her delight in her work and hopes others will enjoy them as much as she does in their creation.

Jeannine is now a member of the Piedmont Woodcarving Club in Greenville, SC and has attended several workshops and a "carving roundup" in FL. She finds carving both sooothing and relaxing and pure enjoyment. She looks forwardto more workshops in the future.

Special orders are gladly accepted.
