Nancy's Corn Husk Dolls

Indian Legend of the Faceless Doll

According to legend, the first cornhusk doll was made to be the playmate for a young indian girl. The doll was beautiful to behold, so beautiful, she spent little time playing with her friends.  Instead, she spent all her days looking at her reflection in a clear pond in the woods nearby.  The Creator punished the doll for her vanity and removed her face forever.
